The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Cindy Wedholm has been appointed the new Executive Director of Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard. She has been a part of the team for over two years working with the clients, volunteers and donors.
Cindy has a BA in Sociology from University of Lynchburg (College). Prior to joining the Cupboard, Cindy had a varied background in the corporate and non-profit sectors.
She brings work experience in customer service, recruiting and volunteer and office management. Her volunteerism was highlighted in helping others at the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia, Hospice and Safe Harbor programs at Abington – Jefferson Health. Cindy enjoys meeting people and learning their stories. She has found helping people to be the most rewarding part of all of these jobs.
Cindy is looking forward to building new partnerships in the community while strengthening the old ones. She wants to listen to our clients and develop programs that will encourage them to become more independent and financially stable.
She lives in Dresher with her husband and their two children. When she isn’t at the Cupboard, you can find her working in her gardens, at various sporting events for her kids or walking around downtown Ambler enjoying the shops and restaurants.
We are excited to see what the future has in store for the Cupboard and the community. Cindy can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 215-628-3002. We hope you get to meet her soon.
